Dublin Recruitment Firm Undergoes Rebrand

For the past 25 years, the name Mary B Cremin has been well recognised and respected in Dublin recruitment circles. Established in 1981, it specialised in hiring staff for secretarial and administrative positions. Office support is still the company’s main focus, but it has since branched out into such areas as accountancy and finance. The recruitment of temporary administrative staff is also a significant part of its business.

Last year, the founder, Mary Cremin, sold her company — which employed 45 staff across four sites in Fitzwilliam Place, Walkinstown, Blanchardstown and Swords — to the Irish-owned international recruitment group Grafton ESP, for a reported €5m.

A rebranding exercise was begun to freshen the company’s image. It changed and shortened its name to the catchier Maryb.ie and rolled out a more contemporary corporate look. The firm also appointed Grafton’s Shona McManus, 27, as its new general manager.

McManus is to spend €500,000 on rebranding that includes a new logo and website plus radio, outdoor and print advertising. She is also looking at high-profile marketing initiatives such as pro-motions teams on the street handing out Maryb branded mineral water.
