Irish Lab Equipment Supplier Bought |

| The Irish healthcare services company, United Drug Plc, said on Thursday it had acquired Dublin-based laboratory equipment supply company JVA Analytical Ltd for a consideration of up to 21 million euros ($30.8 million).
The company said in a statement it had acquired the entire issued share capital of lab equipment distributor JVA, which employs 19 people. United Drug, a supplier of drugs and medical lab equipment to pharmacies and hospitals in Ireland and Britain, said it was paying an initial 16.5 million euros and a further 4.5 million if agreed targets in the sales of laboratory equipment are met over the next two years. |
