$50,000 Laboratory Equipment Invested in University of Liberia

The science lab at the University of Liberia has received a financial boost to improve its laboratory equipment so that science students can be up to their tasks in each respective field of study.

On 18th October 2007,  the Liberian Mandingo Organization in the city of New York donated a consignment of laboratory equipment to the laboratories in the University.

Making the presentation of the Lab equipment to UL administration, Mohammed Kromah of LIMANY said they decided to donate the Laboratory equipment valued at US$50,000 to the science laboratories, which were in great need of laboratory equipment, because they are highly interested in being able to help the students.

The assorted laboratory equipment includes accessories, aprons, human skeletal, bulbs, dilution, reagent class and plastic, chromatograph, distillation set, brlenmeyer, flat bottom and volumetric flasks and pipettes. UL President, Dr. Alhasan Conteh lauded the organizations for the donation and assured them that the new laboratory equipment will help reduce some of the problems faced by the science college.
